It is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose. Philippians 2:13 NIV

Dear Central Sisters….

The Planning Team of Women’s Ministries requests your diligent prayers beginning today and continuing until it meets on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. We are asking for a clear vision of what God wants and for a clear vision of what Central women need. We do not want to waste God’s money investing in activities that are not expedient to spiritual growth or that do not bless women’s lives in a meaningful way. You may wish to fast and pray as Esther, but please pray these “three days”.

The MISSION of Women’s Ministries is to serve need and “need” requires a clearer definition from you. This specifically applies to the younger women of the congregation: What need of yours can we, your sisters, serve? It is not our desire to pressure you into the established activities, rather it is to find activities of mutual benefit to us all. From the wisdom of the Planning Team, “The way it has been done” is not the all-defining solution to current need.” Living things expand, contract, disappear, reemerge, and sit to wait for what is next.

Please pray for God’s input and submit it to any one on the Planning Team listed in the new brochures available in each ladies’ restroom and at the information booths at the north, east, and south entrances. These brochures define what Women’s Ministries are currently available in which to invest your gifts to God’s Glory. Please know, first of all, that the Team is open to your prayerful input. Please share with us how the present ministries might be tweaked or what other ministries and events would better serve you.

Central is a living body! Please sustain that health with your wholesome input. As Laverne Travis reminds us, this is a “we” ministry.

You may submit your input to me personally through various methods of choice. A phone call can reach me or my answering machine at 537-3949; mailing address is P.O. Box 1244, Panhandle, TX 79068; e-mail address: wbthrogmorton@amaonline.com . Time is short, so please pray and make your inspired suggestions and solutions known.

—Respectfully submitted by
Becky Throgmorton
