   John 8:32

Bondage — Enslaved — We are twice blessed in this country, as we are free of any outside control. We as Americans stand proud of freedoms we command.

We as a Nation set aside July 4 to remember this independence—won in 1776 by a group of men who shared a common belief. Freedom could be purchased by sacrifice.

Because of their belief and willingness to fight and sacrifice of self, we 200 plus years later continue to enjoy the fruit of their faith that independence was a victory within reach.

     Bondage and enslavement

became a reality the day the   Garden Gates were closed. Union with God was violated, leaving all mankind to struggle under the power and authority of sin…

Until, as the year 1776 stands as a remembrance of the infamous words, “Give me liberty or give me death,” we are better served to remember:

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

Jesus’ death cries out, “I have given you liberty—you are now free—free, indeed.”
