“Jonathan climbed up using his hands and feet with his armor-bearer right behind him. The Philistines fell before Jonathan and his armor-bearer followed and killed behind him.”
1 Samuel 14:13.
Battles are always difficult. . . regardless of the enemy. To have someone right behind you to “cover your back” is assuring.

Jonathan’s victories were outstanding to a great extent because of his faithful armor bearer who never left his side.
Faith is our armor-bearer. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Belief in our Father God saves us from the enemy. Victory is sweet beyond measure because Jesus promises never to leave us. The Holy Spirit stands ready to direct us.
Our Ministry of Information (MOI) should i
nclude Exodus 14:13-14 (NLT): “Don’t be afraid. Just

stand still… The LORD Himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”
The devil may try to invade our turf; we may have battles on multiple fronts, live in turbulent times, but we can choose to fix our minds on Jesus, claim His perfect peace and persevere.  Trusting the Lord is Satan’s greatest enemy. We carry on and rely on God to fight for us.
We can live with calmness and confidence because of the promises of Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep him in perfect peace WHOSE mind is stayed on you because He trusts in you.” (Emphasis added.)
As we await the Lord’s return, our hearts and minds should be calm, for Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace.” John 16:33. (Emphasis added.)
Praise God for our Freedom in Christ and our gift of living in a Free Nation.
