Sister Saturday

November 16 is the date set aside for Sister Saturday and a ministry fair. It has been carefully planned to be both fun and informative. Grab a friend and join us at 8:30 for registration and a finger food breakfast. While you enjoy your coffee, walk around Sneed Hall and talk to the leaders of the ministries under the Women’s Ministry umbrella. Find one or two that fit your talents and interests and sign up!

After you’ve had your coffee and are awake, we have four fun classes for you to attend. You will have time to take two of the following classes. Tiffani Robertson will teach wreath making, Michelle Schaffer will teach cup cake decorating, Melissa Barber will teach clay pot snowmen and Barbara Danile will teach flower arranging.

Childcare is available with a reservation. To reserve call the church office no later than noon on Nov. 15th.

A 10 year old girl was asked by a classmate, “What is it like to be a Christian?” The girl replied, “It’s like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in and washes all dirt off you. Then he cuts open the top and scoops out all of the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed and other bad stuff and then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.
