WoW is July 21st!

July is here and that is WoW time. If you have marked your calendar early in the year according to the Save the Date box on page 6 of this newsletter, we hope you have noticed that last month the date was changed from July 14th to July 21st! The date was changed to accommodate one of our speakers, Sandra Cana, who is one of our missionaries in Columbia. She and her husband, Byron, are having trouble getting their visas, but it is hoped they will be in Amarillo in time for her to visit with us at WoW.

Our theme this year is on missions. Linda Purdy will begin the evening by helping us understand that a mission is not necessarily on foreign soil and to aid us to find our personal mission. Her lesson title is: “I Can Do Anything If I Knew What It Was!” Linda will be followed by Sandra.

Wow begins at 6:30 p.m. with a light supper Child care is also available by reservation only (call the church office). Reserve by close of business on the 20th.

Shopping with Eternal Threads will also be available. Remember, you must use either cash or check when shopping as credit cards cannot be taken. For those who may not be familiar with Eternal Threads, it is a ministry that teaches a trade to girls and women in 13 countries so that they can support themselves and not be sold into slavery or the sex trade. The variety of items made by these women are beautiful and they are paid a fair price for their goods so that they can make a living.

See you on the 21st! Bring a friend!
